What's your favorite varmint rifle and ammo? Lets see some pics.. Mines my Marlin 17HMR with a BSA 3-12x40 sweet 17 scope an I'm shooting 17gr CCI TNT

Traveling so I don't have photos..
CZ 22 LR
CZ 22 mag.
700 .223 with 27 " Douglas #5
700 .22-250 26 " Douglas #5
700 .22-250 AI 27 " Packnor #5
700 .220 Swift 27" Douglas #5a (apair)
700 .243 varmiter factory
700 .25-06 27" Douglas # 5a.
These are my principle varmint rifles for everything from gophers to wolves..

Well, since you only asked for favorite rifle and not rifles then I will give only one answer. My Remington 700 in .220 Swift. For the last several years it has worn a 28" Krieger barrel. Until last year it had a Vais muzzle brake on it but that is now gone in favor of a HTG suppressor. Ever hear a Swift that was more quiet that a .22 rimfire? Hear mine and you will.

Got a older Bushnell 6-24X 4200 (made by Bausch and Lomb)and it all sits in a H-S Precision stock. Most bullets are with the 50 or 55 grain Nosler ballistic tip at around 4000 fps for the former or 3800 fps for the latter.

Been a Swift fan for 40 years. Will stay one until I die.

I like my Marlin 917V shooting CCI 20gr Gamepoints at 2250fps with Pentax Gameseeker 4x-12x ballistic plex for short range stuff. Especially around the barns and buildings where penetration and noise can be an issue. This one will eventually get suppressed.

I like my Remington model 7 in 17rem shooting 25gr. Berger Target HP's at 3500fps when I am planning to combine calling and chucking or want a light weight mid range varminter. Also great where over penetration is a problem as it almost never exits at any range.

When I don't mind the weight and want a low noise and light recoiling rifle, I like my AR with Burris Signature 6x-24x-44mm fine duplex scope for mid range stuff out to 250yds with the 50gr. V-max running at 3120 FPS.

When I really want to drag out the anchor and reach out there and bang flop some chucks, I get out the rebuilt Remington 700 with 28" Barlein barrel in 243win with Vortex Viper PST 6x-24x-50mm MOA scope running 87gr. V-maxes at 3140 FPS.

Sometimes I'll drag out some other stuff too including the pistols and even the muzzleloader, but these seem to get the majority of the work. If I have to grab a single one to go chucking with, it would be the 243win mentioned. It is heavy, but I can whack chucks from point blank to 500yds with it and it seems to be the easiest for me to use.

I use several for Varmint type activities....
For 'close in' stuff, such as around barns, etc..My Remington 121 pump with CBs let me shoot almost silently...

For everything else, my CZ 527 Varmint in .204 with 39gr rounds

My .204 AR

or my Rem 700 .223 with 40gr V-Max

The above is the .220 Swift.. rather than my .22-250..Still playing with posting photos. Sorry for the dead dogs..Thanks again AR for the link.. It is hard to imagine what can be done by computers for someone who is not literate in their use.. Again thanks..

Like your old hunting partner I'm a fan of thumbhole stocks. Someday I'm gonna have to get me one along the lines of your 220 Swift. Some of the Maple grain patterns are pretty amazing.

Thats really tough I have quite a few and really like them all.
Right now my favorite is my 20VT because its new, one of my all time favorites is a 22-250, for hunting around the house or barns it would be my CZ 17M2 or 10/22 they are super accurate and alot quieter but If I had to pick just one it would have to be my 20br its just scary accurate
