IMO for the money, Marlin XS7. I bought one in 308 a couple years ago and made a 6 Dasher out of it with a Rock Creek 1-8 barrel. It's my go to rig now because it's not pretty but is very accurate and handy. I realize it's not an out of the box X7 243, but I have shot one of them that was sub MOA out of the box with factory ammo. If you want to spend more, I think it's hard to beat a Tikka. JMO Barlow
