LED Hunting Lights

I picked up the 900lm with the q5, came with batts. and a charger for less than $20 on ebay. It throws well, and is bright, I would recomend it.

Ok got the light charged and played around with it last night and that thing is bright. The only part I might not like is the big battery box on the back, but for the price can't be beat. Thanks for the link guys.

Sorry guys, looks like I was off a little, it is the 800lm, it does use the q5 and comes with the 2x batts and charger.

Total out the door $23.00.

I think the 800lm would be overkill for scanning, I have the 300lm headlamp and 300lm zoomable light, both are great for scanning. I like the 800lm to light up my target for longer distance shots.

theres no way its actually close to 800

I am still looking for the right option on that too, I just picked up a scope mount that attaches like a side saddle, it is in the mail. I am hoping I will be able to modify it to work.

Most of the lights I have picked up are not the 1" lights that you can find any mount for. They are closer to 30mm in diameter, which makes it harder to find a mount.

I am interested if anyone else has found something to work with the vent rib as well.

HappyYoter isn't finished buying stuff yet and evaluating all the Chinese flashlights. He needs to buy a Lux meter to measure the throw of a light. And he needs a digital multimeter to measure the amps (current) of the flashlight. The electronic driver of the LED governs how much current flows thru the LED (which determines how much light is produced by the LED). For XR-E LED's, the typical current reading will be between 0.6 amps to as high as 1.4 amps. The Red Sniper Hog Light Destroyer measures 1.4 amps.
I wonder what the measurements are for all the lights that HappyYoter owns? What is the current for the XLR250?
