Quote:Spend 24 years in a classroom teaching and then tell me what it's like. You (and others) are sounding very much like the administration, school board, and government. You don't have a clue what my job is all about...
I don't believe I've told you what your job is like at all. Any specific references (36.5 hr weeks) have come from the United States Department of Labor/Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and are for teachers nationwide, not you personally.
I don't "have a clue" what your individual job is like, having never been to your individual classroom, but I do have a great deal of knowledge of what your occupation is about.
Based on your posts back here I'm fairly certain that in fact I know considerably more than you about the government school system and it's history.
Unfortunately for the teachers and their unions who would like to pull the wool over the public's eye's, the data on government schooling is reported on intensively yearly (BLS, DepED, PISA, etc.).
WOW!! administration, school board, government, and now the taxpayers? It looks like everybody is against you (except maybe Dem politicians who like your money). You poor teachers and your poor unions are sure getting picked on.
It's too bad that there's all that factual information out there (BLS, DepED, PISA, etc.) making it so easy for anyone who cares about it to gain in-depth knowledge, and making your unions and the socialist government monopoly school system look so bad.
Sucks to be you, I'd suggest you complain to your union.
