Your Pic of the Day

ya!

GWB

The veterinarian at the zoo sent a sick animal over to the wife because her hospital is the only one in the area with a CT scanner. I think she said this is a snow leopard, but don't remember for sure. She had to anesthetize it (obviously) and do the CT, but she sent it back while it was still asleep. She said this was the coolest thing she has ever dealt with.

10" hole HM. Had a bit of room to spare. Pike was 44.75 inches.
Never took time to weigh it as I let her go after the picture.
Guessing 25/27 lbs.
Caught another 44.75 incher a week later.
Most people freaked out I let the both go.

Sorry, no coyote pictures coming to the call; they either didn't survive or left in a rush, not posing for a photo

^^^^Wildebeest bull, leading his entire herd charged call/decoy (white circle)^^^^No remote on decoy, but shut down call and had to wait a while to retrieve my call until he lost interest and wandered off.

^^^^Call & decoy not visible in frame, was between camera & Nilgai^^^^^

If only the coyotes would come to the call as eagerly as do the Cara Cara. Click link below to learn more and hear the call of the cara cara.

The Crested Caracara is called the Mexican eagle, but is actually a falcon and is the national bird of Mexico (not the bird on the Mexican flag, which is a Golden eagle).

They are usually the first ones to show up for a meal and are quite vocal at the dinner table . Great warning system of approaching coyotes, as well.
