What did you load today?

200 rounds of .308 - 100 using 168g A-Max in front of some Varget and 100 of 175g SMK's in front of some Varget. Getting ready to load some .223 for summer fun (3000 rounds).

Cleaned some 6X45 cases and loaded up some 223 the other day along with 300 38 Specials for PPC.

I've shot some 185's in my 45's over the years. Only real use I see for them is in Bullseye matches or light training loads. I went back to my 200 Grain H&G 68's just as soon as I finished i=off the 500 185's.

I've been playing around with a sporterized type 38 Arisaka that still has the original 6.5 military barrel. But, had been rechambered to 257 Roberts a long time ago....so the cartridge for it is a 6.5x57, aka 6.5x257R.

When I first began reloading for the rifle, groups at 100 yards were pretty bad....4" or more. Tried various powders, experimented with different bullets and etc. Got 100 yd groups down to maybe 2".

This week, tried some reduced loads with IMR SR4759 with 85 gr, 120gr and 140gr bullets. Was only 75 yds, but Egads, the 85 gr bullets were less than a 1" group...3 clover leafed, one bullet hit about 5/8"" outside them. The 120 gr bullets were about the same...3 cloverleafed, 4th ruined the group. The 140gr didn't clover leaf, but produced less than a 1 1/2" group. Returned the nexst day with more SR4759 loads. Seems rifle likes 120gr or less bullets with the SR4759.

Straighted up 100 rounds of .308-175g SMK's. All rounds are now within .001 of runout. These were originally produced on my Dillon 550 using Dillon dies. 60% of the rounds were already within .001, 25% of the rounds were within .002, and maybe 15% were .003 out.

Working on a few 17rem's with 25gr. Berger Target HP's and a dose of H322. Going to change over and do some 243win's with 87gr. V-maxes and IMR 4064 next. Gotta make sure I have a few rounds incase a hay field gets cut this weekend

I decided to use the 55gr Nosler S.H.O.T.S bullets in my 6X45mm DTech AR for varmints next fall . After some trial and error I found a good load so I loaded up 100 rounds with XTerminator and have 250 more pieces of 6X45mm brass prepped and ready. The Cooper 6X45mm will be using the 70gr Noslers I am thinking right now.
Also got my 6MM DTi ammo ready with 85 rounds loaded with the 70gr Nosler BT loaded with IMR 3031 running and average of 3333fps they should do the trick. While I was working on 6mmDTi I loaded some for Skinnerworldchamp's new DTech as well. He has settled on the 68gr Berger on top off N530 and they were steady reading 3355fps on my chrono.

I just finished sizing 1,000 9mm
Loaded 97 rnds .223 Rem for the DPMS Oracle; 50g VMax 27.5g of Win.748 CCI41 primer
78 Rnds for LR308; 110g Hornady SP, 46g Accurate 2460, Rem LRM

Very bummed out; The carpet is damp in the `man cave` corner of the basement and the cause seems to be some plumbing that is leaking. I will have to relocate most everything in that half of the basement and most likely `gut it` and remodel.
I don`t think I have enough room elsewhere in the house to set everything up so I may be done reloading for awhile.
