loc tite

I don't F around! When it comes to the hard hitting recoil of my 22LR and the trusty .17HMR only JB Weld will do...

Seriously though, I used red loctite on the Base for my Ruger 10/22. Darn thing came loose a couple times and I got tired of messing with it. Anything else gets a small dose of blue. Works fine for me. Might not be for everyone.

I must be in the minority. I use red loctite with the loctite primer. If I put a scope/ optic on any of my rigs, I want it as permanent as possible. I don't normally swap optics b/t guns. Rings don't cost that much, so drilling screws out of rings at the cost of $50 is worth more to me than having a botched shot and rig out of service. Just my 2 cents, but I say use the strongest stuff out there.

IS 15 to 20in/lbs the norm for bases and rings.
I havent seen this info any place, but i wanna start torking.
Ive stripped screws in alum rings, and broken screws in steel rings.
