If you could have just one high end rifle, what cartridge?

I am planning to order a HS Precision rifle in the next couple of weeks. Since this will probably be about the only chance I ever have to own a rifle like this, I want a cartridge that I can shoot a lot. I mostly plan to use this rifle mainly for coyotes and steel but also deer and antelope. I want to be able to shoot to 600 or so for steel and coyotes that hang up on the way in. So, what would you do (or have you done)? I am thinking 243 on the small end and 280 on the big end. I reload so factory ammo is not a problem. Thanks for your input guys!

243 would be a good choice or a 260 rem if you want a little more bullet mass.

If I could only have one rifle it would be a 220 Swift as quoted from P.O. Ackley. I agree.
An 8 twist barrel and shooting "heavies" will fill your needs...........

I'm thinking a 243AI would fit the bill pretty well. I just aquired one a few months ago and I'm loving it!!

6.5 creedmoor. Longer barrel life, easy to load and nasty on anything from predators to elk.

I just had my .243AI to 1250 yards and LOVE IT!!!

I'd suggest .243AI or 25-06.
