Favorite Coyote Bullet

204- 39 grain SBK has shot a lot of coyotes for me and so far no splashes and no exits

22-250- 50 grain vmax

243- 75 grain Hornady HP and 75 grain Vmax:
These are my all time favorites. They hit like a cement truck and flatten the yoties with authority. I'm shooting these at 3560 FPS from the .243 and I am working up loads for these bullets in my 6MM AI. Hoping to hit 3900 FPS with the vmax.

1:9 twist in .223 52-55 gr V-Max
1:8 twist in .223 60 gr V-Max
1:12 twist in .223 40 grainers V-Max

55 & 62 PSP and/or hollow points for when I want to keep the hides.

12ga BB Rem HD 3" for brush and heavy wooded areas

And .308 A-MAX when I'm out of .223 shells and don't care about anything but destroying yotes

I have tried v-maxes in both of my swifts but they don't shoot them the best. My guns shoot the 55gr sierra game kings hollow points the best

I am fairly new to reloading my own ammo, but if your v-max is behind your powder you may be doing it wrong

haha, I kid... but I too have had great luck with just about any 50-60 gr Hornady and Varget powder. My best yet is the Hornady 55 gr. Spire Point and 24 gr. or Accurate 2230 though... Same hole @ 100yds for 2 or 3 rounds out of my M77 MKII. Its not blazing fast, but it will put anything Whitetail sized and under on the ground in a hurry.

I currently slingin 53gr v max's over 25.5gr benchmark. I have killed many Yotes DRT with 40gr v max, i like the wind bucking capabilites of the 53's better.

I really like the 39gr. b-kings out of my .204, and have had great luck with the 50gr. v-max's out of the 22-250.

Tony.
