Gottcha,,,, Btw,,, I have no experience with Fox, but that one seems pretty big to me. Is that average for MN? Any idea what it weighed?
Curious what that large Coyote weighs too. Looks like a dandy.

Nice job ,Dave !!

I must be the only guy to wreck fox with a 17cal .

Tim, if you don't mind, could you please get me some info on your bullet guy.

As far as your build goes ... Borkons 17-204 looks pretty SICK !!! ~ and I mean that in a good way.

I don't think the bullet matters. If ya got a crap barrel it's gonna foul. If ya got a good one it's good to go, just like any other cal.

Fouling is definatly a barrel issue, not bullets.
My 17tac has a POS for a barrel and needs a cleaning every 40 rounds or so. Its a factory 17FB CDL barrel that I rechambered, that thing wouldn't make a good tent stake. Which is part of the reason I experimented with the Tactical on it. My 17Fireball (Dakota Predator) and 17 Ackley Hornet (douglas barrel) could go a couple hundred rounds before accuracy falls off enough to need a cleaning. Both are wonderful shooters and foul very little, more carbon than copper.

mines got a Lilja barrel and it seldom needs cleaning.

nice job Ducky. i see yours is horribly inefficiant also

just for the record:. yesterday was very calm (no wind) and the snow was real squeaky. was tough to get close to bedded critters without them hearing so long range shooting was called for. the fox was taken at 322. 1 coyote at 280, 1 at 330 and one at 400+.
RePete. fox was an everage sized one. guessing 8-10 lbs.
could not even tell where i hit him. will find out today when i skin him
that coyote just looks big in the photo.
here's a JUMBO.... shot with the 17-204 right after i had it built, he's a giant

You're absolutely killing me with that 17-204. I bet that thing is a hoot to shoot! I have never had a custom done up,,, yet.
grin.gif
Is that like a 1 in 9 twist I'm guessing? I really like my .204's soooooo don't know why that 17-204 wouldn't be any different. Cool thing is that there is lots of .204 brass out there that can be had for it.

What are the ballistic differences between a 17-204 and the 17 Remington ... and their differences in terminal performance also? Just curious.

That JUMBO is definatly a hoss! Very nice.

Kevin,,, you left out the Black.

Sorry ... keep forgetting that I'm on your "ignore list". What's a guy gotta do to be taken off that thing? I would like to think we could find some sorta common ground.
