Has anyone used the foxpro external speaker SP-60? I have a foxpro Inferno and would like to get a bit volume to my calling. Any comments on its performance, likes or dislikes?

I had one with my first Foxpro. I used it about 3 weeks, gave it away. I went and bought the Sp-70 the same day and still have it. Been very pleased with it.

The 60 seemed to cut out and give a static sound on full volume while I would howl. It did that 4-5 times one day and I finally had enough. The 70, is much louder and doesn’t give me any troubles. Much better buy in my opinion

Thanks for saving me the hassle and the money, makes the community great. I'll probably go ahead and buy the SP-70.

I would for sure. That 60 was fine till you got to around max volume, which was the entire reason I’d run a speaker anyway, then it would get staticky and growling. PITA. You shouldn’t have any problems at all out of the 70.

I have had the 60 for a few years. I have an old FX5, the sound is great on all volume settings.
My problem is I only get 40 minutes of playtime with both internal speakers and the 60. At 8 AA battery at a change an all-day hunt is a lot of batteries.

I have a foxpro Inferno and an SP-60. I do notice the SP-60 gives a deeper/fuller/smoother/slightly louder sound than the inferno's speaker. 80% of the time for places I call, I just use the inferno by itself so i don't have to mess with an extra device and wire in the field. But i pull out the SP-60 if I want to boost the sound somewhere.

I haven't used it extensively, and I haven't tried the SP-70. I initially wanted the SP-70, but then decided on the SP-60. I don't remember why. With the SP-60, I didn't notice the performance gain over the internal speaker of the SP-60 that I was hoping for.

I have used the Foxpro SP-55 and the SP-60 speakers on full volume quite a bit since 2008 with very few problems. Having two speakers to point if two different directions pays off in the long run.

In wide open big country I am a firm believer that if more coyotes can hear your e-caller you will call in more coyotes. By having two speakers pointed in two different directions more predators can hear the sound compared to just one speaker.
