Average shot distance at night for coyotes

... with my Trail XP50 it was probably around 100 yards with 50 being closest and 300 yards furthest. It is now my scanner.
...The Trijicon MK3 35 has been a different story...I would say 150-175. Every time I shoot one , it is the same " ugghh..bit further than I thought" when walking to it. The 2X is taking a bit longer to get used to.

Limbhanger what do you think about the 2x with no pip? Harder to aim?
