Oh wait, Hitler did it.

It's religion, it's people's beliefs, which by the way is what this country and our right to believe whatever we want is protected by the constitution. We do not persecute Christians because of what the radical fringe does when they kill doctors and bomb and burn clinics on behalf of their god and beliefs. If we did I guess we'd need a Christian registry?

This is where the ability to look at history and profound mistakes comes into play. Isn't this what Hitler did when he persecuted Jews? I'm going to spend time on this, and do rewrites until I can take inflammatory elements out so as to reduce this to pure fact. I don't want to offend anyone because they resemble an inflammatory statement. Now just because someone doesn't believe it has nothing to do with whether it's the truth.

Persecution of a religious group by political leaders is playing to the ignorance and fears of people. The whole Muslim phobia is based on gross ignorance. Radical ideas resonate with a fringe, not the mainstream of any religious group. You could find whole Christian congregations where none of the members would ever support killing a doctor because he does abortions that happen to be constitutionally legal in this country.

ISIS, or ISOL is a group or faction that has changed and evolved it's name so as to play to it's base. The fact that they are claiming to Muslim based does not mean they have anything to do with real Muslims, just as some hard right wing hatred filled bigoted "Christians" such as Skinheads or white Supremists don't have a clue what it means to be a Christian.

ISIS is the true enemy of Muslims, ISIS has killed hundreds of thousands of Muslims, and caused millions to flee their country because of the way ISIS persecutes them.

There are an estimated three to seven million Muslims in this country. Muslims have long been a quiet unobtrusive part of our population. They have not been in the news because they are not a disruptive violent part of our life. Many communities have a large presence that you would be unaware of because they do not do anything that draws attention to them, they have settled here, raised kids, have grand kids, and quietly have their faith, as is the right of all religions.

We believe and practice whatever religion we want, as long as those beliefs do not interfere with anyone else's beliefs or rights.

Christians need to be aware of something, the numbers of those who consider themselves to be Christians is rapidly declining. This is in fact an ever shrinking minority. People are getting fed up with people who hate other people such as gays, blacks, Muslims, liberals. Anyone who hates groups does not have the ability to see the good people that are part of any group. There's a lot of people that despise the concept of someone being so ate up with their beliefs that they would kill someone or bomb clinics that are legally operating, and those people do not hate all Christians because lunatics who consider themselves to be Christians doing god's work do despicable acts of terrorism.

Terrorists no more represent what it is to be a Muslim than skinheads represent true Christian values.

True, but until such time as the FBI feels confident that they can do a better job of vetting middle eastern immigrants (At least better than they did regarding the latest terrorist in CA.)it would seem to be prudent to stop bringing in more, even if only 1% could be radicalized)

Muslims are violent.. Their is no where in the bible that says kill all those that don't agree with you and convert.. The Christians are not out saying that if you don't convert or die..

I know that living in California it's hard to see the differences and understand what loony is. I know that it's hard to measure since the loony bar is so high. But, there is no evidence of any attacks other than the Muslims killing people because of who they are.

I have been to the middle east.. They spit at us and hated us when I was there in a country in the days after 9/11. They hate us, and want blindly to inflict their way of life upon all of us.

What's astounding is the willingness of the liberals to accept their [Muslims] behavior, when if what they do, would mean the killing of just about all of Califonia lunes. They toss Gays from buildings, they stone women in the streets for driving, having sex out of wed lock. They even stone a woman to death if they refuse to marry someone that rapes them.

Do i really need to keep going here? It's not even close. But, I could just imagine the outrage if Christians did start taking out Muslims solely on religion. Could you really blame them for doing it after 10's of thousands have been killed in the middle East for just being christian? ISIS posts some of the most despicable video's of the mass killing.. The UN is doing nothing, the only ones actually killing them is Russia and France. We send warnings which is stunning..

We [our leaders] are pathetic looser's for knowing there is a mass killing Genocide and our leaders are watching the modern Holocaust and failing to do anything to stop it.

If you support the abandonment of innocent people being slaughtered, well then i guess the shoe fits.... I see where you are going with some of your points.. Right minded countrymen do not want to persecute one demographic based off an idealism of superiority like the Nazis.. For that matter; Hitler should stand in awe of the killing machine of Islam.. Many in the ME rooted for the Germans to win WW2, they share the same hatred of Jews.. Islam knows that had the Germans won there would be no modern state of Israel.. I'm sure that what Jews were in Palestine would have been handed over to the Nazis for extermination.. Even though Arabs are not a pure white race, look at the "Honorary Arian" status they gave the Japanese.. The bottom line is that Islam has far more parallels to the Nazis than anything suggested above..

It is not just ISIS carrying out atrocities on Shiets... Shiets slaughter Sunnis with the same ruthlessness.. Now we can bring up the numbers killed by Christians in the past.. So my question is "what gives?" Is a modern day crusade not in order? Have we regressed to helpless masses afraid to defend ourselves out of fear of some BS rules of war.. Are we to civilized to get back to basic, primordial responses to aggressions? Systematically degrade [beeep] does that mean? Love and tolerance may sound as a higher road, yet in today's day and age that mindset is fleating.. In fact some would believe that all started rotting in the Garden of Eden.. As a species it is in our nature.. As spiritualists it is in our heart to be otherwise.. Our skin needs to grow thicker, if our hearts are to grow softer..

A temporary ban on Muslims entering the country is only logical. We need to get a handle on how to properly vet these people. The condescending silliness of helpless progressives shouldn't keep rational folks from solving the problem. It is odd how popular it has become to accuse those you disagree with of being filled with 'hate'.

Jimmah "Hitler" Carter did indeed stop Iranians from entering in 1980. But note the difference, Jimmah stopped people from a certain country, not religion. We would do well not to forget they laughed in his face as they knew that like obunghole he wore a peanut shell and a bandaid for a cup. That is until the day Reagan was installed, then magically all hostages were released unambiguously.

Well I think entry from everywhere should be paused till some things are sorted out. Anyone can say whatever they want about their reason for seeking entry into the country and if there is no record of their existence to check how would anyone know who they are or where they are from.

Thats not to say we should abandon all seekers.We need to help. Should have made enforced safe areas long ago. Our military had that pretty much done at one time.

People in past times came in through specific channels and many were turned away. They were checked for health among other things. If they were sick they went to the hospital which they paid for. If they were not able to be cured they were shipped back.

The US did not just let everyone who wanted to come move right in. In time of war the immigration rate was low.

I wonder why after 10 years or more of war in the mid east thousands decide to immigrate all at once now.
They seem to be not asking for help but demanding their fair share. They are for the most part pretty aggressive.

They are not coming here to be Americans and just looking for a chance to find any work they can and seek the American dream for their children. In fact I was under the impression they did not like the west very much.

They are not like immigrants of the past.

I don't have all the good answers. I don't think letting people who may be at war with us just move right in and disperse them throughout the nation is the right answer.
