I might swap the scope from my 22-250 and .308. It is a 8.5-25x44, little too much for the 22-250 and using it on coyotes. I don't know, I usually take my AR for that anyway. I will be changing the stock on the 12fv 22-250 to either another Choate Varmint or a Thumbhole laminate like whats on my Savage 22 mag.
I've got the Mueller 4x1650mm w/ Illuminated (turn on) Mil Dot reticle. I bought it right after my wife & son got me the Savage 10FP. It's got to do for now seeing how I dropped a decent amount of $ into the rifle & all the other accessories. Nothing crazy in regards to $, but I didn't feel like putting anymore dent onto my bank acct. The next upgrades will most likely be the Choate Stock and a higher grade glass...the Mueller is great but I know that if I upgrade the glass then I can get my end result out of the rifle and that is for it to be a 1000 yard shooter. What is the difference between the Choate Varmit and the Choate Ultimate Sniper stocks?
Again, you got some sweet guns brother! All my other guns are plain Winchester Model 70's (Ranger in 7mm REM MAG, Westener in 30.06, & a 1966 MOD 70 in .243). Got a Marlin 444ss, Marlin 917v in .17HMR, Marlin 60s in .22lr, Mossberg 835...535...Maverick 88 in 12 GA, Mossberg 500 x2 in 20GA, an old Winchester MOD 37a .410 single shot, DANG!!!! Tired of typing now...I'll just post pics of them all when I get a chance and include the rest!!!
I got to say one of my prized possessions is a rifle my dad gave me of his and one that I have drooled over for years...his Anschutz 164 Sporter that he got back in the 70's...it was imported by Savage back then. Talk about a .22lr that can knock a gnat off of a fly's A*S!
