Quite an interesting story. All the people involved and without the aid of computers and other methods to achieve pinpoint accuracy. Positive thinking coupled with experience and perseverance achieved the objective and the end result is being sought after even today. To find an unmolested example today is extremely difficult.
 
My dad was issued one to use during his service in the Korean War. Dad was a smaller statured man and liked the carbine. He found it effective enough to get him safely back to the Missouri Ozarks after the war.
