Something that doesn't get mentioned much when talking about a scope that will go up to 60x is the stand. A budget scope will have a budget stand which means they are really hard to acquire the image. Good stands that have smooth micro adjusters for up/down and right/left positioning cost a couple of hundred bucks.
I got the Vortex Skyline and it came with a very nice stand that has super smooth micro adjustments. I paid $389 for it at Cameraland and the stand came with it, so if you tried to buy a cheaper spotting scope and had to upgrade the stand you'll be out there.
Something to think about, because the stands I've had on budget scopes sucked.
That extra $150 is well worth it just for the stand, and you get better optics on top of that.
