Sharp broadheads

Sharp is for sure the way to go. Back in the day, we used file to sharpen our Zwicky 2 blades without bleeder. they where sharp but had the serrated edge from the file.
 
I agree with very sharp. Since I started sharpening my own broadheads I haven't had to blood trail a deer because I watch them go down or hear them go down just out of view, and usually they're dead in under a minute. I'm amazed every time how quickly they can kill a deer that weighs more than I do. I also think it helps penetration and when the arrow zips right through the deer don't even seem to know they're hit until they get the wobbles. With that said I've been fortunate that the farthest shot I've taken is 30 yards (usually under 20) and broadside or very slight quartering angle.
