Scope sun shade, yes no maybe?

And don't forget in case of a rifle falling, the sunshade acts as an extension to the scope tube. Making the tube longer, and with the weight of the rifle can bend the scope tube easier than without one. I have scope tubes that came with the scopes, but for the most part they stay in the scope box.

My personal preference is to install a sunshade on each of my scopes and they stay on the scope all year long. The only time they come off is when I need to clean the objective lens.
