Well, believe it or not, we went out elk scouting and ran into some more rockchucks! This is the latest we have ever seen them out, but it was 7 in the morning. I hit one hard at 335 with my new .17 Fireball, but it still crawled off into a hole. I'm sure it expired quickly. I'm guessing that 300 yards is going to be the max for this cartridge. While we were hiking back up to the truck from that one, I saw another one above us about 100 yards away. I dropped down to my shooting sticks and center massed it. That one didn't do any crawling off
No pictures again though.
