Remington 600 Mohawk

I have been buying 600,660 and mohawks for years. If that Mohawk 243 is in good shape, I would grab it. If you don't want it, I will take it.

I dont see" REMINGTON" any where. The bbl is 22"long & 3/4" across at the muzzel & it's crowned NO VENT RIB . I would think it's a bull bbl. I was told by the gunsmith who bedded it and worked on the trigger that it was a remington bbl.

All Remington barrels are marked. They have the Remington name and date code on the barrel.

As often happens when a smith places a factory barrel on a rifle action, he possibly indexed the barre so that the original factory stampings are on the under side of the barrel and are hidden by the stock.

You might have to remove the stock to see the original factory markings.

No factory Rem 600, 660, or Mohawk came from the factory with a bull barrel that would be .750" at the muzzle. They all had sporter weight barrels even though, IIRC, the Mohawk was a fairly heavy sporter contour.
