Looking for some different powder options. I've Ben trying h4831sc. Just kinda fishing, anyone try the xbr8208? Or is it to fast? I'm looking at bullets from 85-110g. Also what coal

Try RL19 for the lighter bullets and RL22 for the heavier bullets. Most 25-06 get better closer to max charge but you'd better work up to it.

I was thinking of picking some 22 up tomorrow. I can't get the 110 interbonds to shoot in mine so I'm either gonna change powder or mess with seating depth

I started loading varget in everything i possibly can. My life is simpler without having to buy 20 different powders. It doesnt produce the highest muzzle velocity in my 25, but it has been shooting well. Ill take slower and accurate over faster and missing any day of the week. Ive loaded it in both 100 and 80 gr. i had previously loaded the 'fastest' muzzle speed powder, but only in middle of the road loads and dropped everything at 400+ yards. The max varget loads are exceeding those speeds with the same bullets so im not too concerned.

Data provided by the hogdgen website.

Guess I haven't noticed the temp sensitivity with the RL22. Mine using RL22 and Barnes 100g ttsx shoot very well. Also IMR4350 and 110g accu bonds work well in my rifle as well. Just for what its worth.

Copy that! 22 is a STEAMING pile of crap.
Win 760/H414 is my "go to" powder in the 25-06.

One of my new favorite loads is with RL22...

From my model 70 classic sporter and the 100g NBT, 58g RL22, Rem case, WLR primer, OAL of 3.245" gives me 3375 fps and shoots in the .3s and. 4s at 100 yards.

I have quite bit of good data for this caliber since its been one of my favorites and one I've shot most in last ten years.

Great dual purpose round and they have all been really accurate and non fussy as far as what they like in my experience.

I have been using H4350 for 25 years with satisfaction. 51.5 grains and a 100 grain bullet or 48.5 and a 115-117 grain bullet. Favorite bullets are 100 and 117 Hornady (not the SST-too fragile) and the 100 and 115 Nosler BTs. These combos shoot so well that I have not experimented with other powders.

I don't shoot the heavy stuff anymore but have started using RL17 for 85 to 90 gr bullets. It gets me over 3600 fps and no pressure signs. Used to use RL19 till I tried RL17.

My favorite powders for the .25-06 are IMR4350, RL19, RL17, H4831sc.

I tend to shoot the 85 gr to 87 gr bullets the most, because of that I no longer use the very slow powders. With the weight that I use RL17 and RL19 seem to work the best.

Alf I was thinking of that vld because I love the way they preform. I can't get better that about 1-1/4" groups with the 110 interbonds thst I've tried do far and for the cost of the bullets I don't think they are worth it. Good info. I use to use nothing but reloaded powders in my 7mag and never seen any big swings from temp.

Guess ill pick up some imr4350. Maybe I could use it in my 243wssm, that's why I wanted to use 4831sc I can run it in the wssm and my 7 mag so the 25/06 would be icing on the cake.

I have had luck with RL-17 and H4831sc, 100 gr NBT or 100 gr Sierra GK's.

Going to try some Barnes TTSX when I have sometime, should be a pretty good for everything pill if she shoots.

This load is 54.5g RL22, Barnes 100g ttsx loaded at 3.210. This target has two three shot groups in the bull, then two shots in the same hole after an adjustment to put it 1.5" high at 100. Rifle is 700 CDL.

Ya see I'm stuck on either the 22 or the 4350... I'm gonna shoot some 75-87 bullets for coyotes and such maybe white tail and 95-100 for deer or maybe even antelope if I get drawn next year
