Thermal Imaging Riflescope TUBE Series- TS60 Manufacturer

At the IWA Outdoor Classic in Nuremberg, InfiRay presented the new 2024 thermal devices. The king of the fair (...which attracted the attention and wonder of all interested in the sector...) was the brand new themal riflescope hd InfiRay Tube TS60 which has truly formidable technical characteristics: 1280x1024@12micron; Netd < 18 mK°; F60/1.0; mag 2-16X; FOV 14.7°x11.7°; display 2560x2560..... Using the 3X digital zoom we will still have 853.3x682.7=~582542 pixels versus 640x512=327680 pixels of the InfiRay Rico Alpha 640... So, with the same image displayed on the display, we have a 77.8% increase in pixels. If we then adjust the digital zoom to 3.5X (minimum magnification of InfiRay Bolt TH50C V2, much appreciated by nocturnal coyote hunters...) we have ~ 731.4x585.1 = ~427990 pixels vs 640x512=327680 pixels. In this second comparison we have a 30.6% increase in pixels. In both cases the improvement in definition is truly remarkable. This new InfiRay thermal will definitely be exceptional...

...in Europe around € 6999 = ~ $ 7660 (with the current exchange rate) ...but I'm afraid it will cost more in the US, due to higher customs duties for products imported from China...

Iray has a few new ones coming out soon. I have my eye on this one for sure.

RICO MK2 LRF RH50R

...the real question to ask is: is 1280x1024 F60/1.0 2-16X (TS60) or 640x512 F50/1.0 3-12X (RH50R) better? As usual, Mathematics comes to our aid.... as I wrote above, at 3X we have 582542 vs 327680 pixels... so an increase of 77.8%... But what makes the difference is above all the lens 60 mm versus 50 mm ... In fact we have an RP=20 mm/pixel and ID=2500 pixels/square meter (TS60) vs RP=24 mm/pixel and ID=1736 pixels/square meter (RH50R). Analyzing these numbers.... the new hd TS60 has a higher definition than that of the RH50R. Obviously this whole theory will have to be confirmed by practical testing on various hunting environments.....

....what you say is only true up to a certain point.... In fact it all depends on the focal length of the lens and the pixel pitch. With the same focal length of the lens and pixel pitch (12 micron), the number of pixels only affects the field of view. Let me explain better... if we had compared a hypothetical TS50 hd with 50 mm lens (1280x1024@12micron, F50/1.0, 1.5-12X, FOV 17.5°x14°, RP=24mm/pixel, ID=1736pixel/square meter) with the RH50R (640x512@12micron, F50/1.0, 3-12X, FOV 8.8°x7°, RP=24 mm/pixel, ID=1736 pixels/square meter) ... we would have exactly the same image definition parameters . The advantage of the TS50 hd would have been only to have a wide field of vision from 1.5X up to 2.9X (well exploitable only in "narrow" and wooded environments...). With 3X digital zoom the 2 devices would give exactly the same digital thermal image. So... if to hunt coyotes on the vast prairies of the Midwest (as most nocturnal hunters in those areas do) we only used digital magnifications from 3X to 12X, all the major pixels (from 1310720 down to 327680) of the TS50 hd (from 1.5X to 3X), would be "wasted" unnecessarily.

Very exciting offering. The only negative I see is that 28 second startup. I am not a member of the Tic Toc generation but that startup time would be very frustrating...

I keep seeing issues about start up time and I’m confused. Do y’all keep your thermals off until you spot a critter with your scanner?
I turn mine on the minute I pull through the gate and off when I leave. I’ll carry a couple spare batteries and have only needed to swap a battery out a couple of times. Even swapping batteries doesn’t shut it off, it just switches to internal battery.

I use the standby function on my InfiRay scope. It's instant on and conserves the battery. So same as you, I power up when about to leave the rig. Then whenever it makes sense I put it in standby, say for example when getting back into the UTV to hit another stand.

As I already wrote above... the list price in Europe should be € 6999, but I already see that in the Czech Republic the price has dropped to around € 6300

I attach here a beautiful video recorded in Poland....

Spurchaser you're too funny, you make me die laughing! When you go to Turkey, take a plane to Venice and come visit me... But forgive me in advance because unfortunately I can only make you try: Infiray Finder FH35R V2, Infiray Saim SCH50, Infiray Tube TH50 V2.... (lol !)

He's talking about skipping out on several out of state hunts to hunt/kill turkeys in order to save money for the scope, not traveling to Turkey!
