The more I look at Warne xskel gen 2 I'm liking it. Its american made and has metal insterts in the screw holes to keep from stripping and can be torqued to 25 in pounds. The only thing I don't like is that the rail nuts are on the the right side for some reason and are not interchangeable. I do like that that they are big, beefy looking nuts that cant be removed only unscrewing so far out and recommend 65 in pounds. They look heavy duty and I wont mar them up or round them off like other brands with round head screws with flat head inserts as i can use a socket to torque them. I wonder why Warne "MSR" mounts don't have alot of following? I did notice a good price drop lately. From $139 to $84. Maybe because they are coming out with a QD version? My rifle is all black so I probably will go black even though all the red and green color options are tempting. I figure I go with a zero MOA being I have a BDC recticle going in it for long range drops.
Whats the advantage from zero to 20 moa with a mount like this? Any advantages or disadvantages with a BDC recticle?
If i don't find any other mounts that do it for me Ill probably order a Xskel gen two next week.
looks like one of our sponsors has is for $71 shipped! Cheaper than the pepr.
