Tommy, These were traps set for bobcat, not lion. Im not sure how big the traps were, but I can tell you that the paws on that Mtlion were huge. It probably caught the whole paw , but when it tried to pull out, it just ripped off a toe.
I'm certainly no expert but my impression was.......cat? Lots in this area. Honest, I didn't manufacture it. On a road in the middle of the hard tack. Nobody down that road since the last rain. I shouldn't have been down that road, and I've got the mechanic's bill to prove it.
