M855 ammo banned

Yeah, we're probably better off discouraging anyone from making an effort on behalf of our interests. If we just grumble enough about it here on Predator Masters, I'm sure the ATF and the President will read our posts that carry more weight than sending it to them.

Not to worry guys, M193 is still for sale for now so everybody who used to buy m855 can now join the others and buy up the M193. There will now be less and the price will increase. Watch.

Seen in a local classifieds yesterday a guy trying to sell 855 for $90@100, from what I understand its flying off the shelves pretty good around here, Obama is a lame duck President, he has nothing to lose, wouldn't be surprised with what he tries.

Bump for the media and Rush picking this up. I believe the NRA provides a form letter to contact your representatives or you could just call their offices.

Yes they do.

As for the decision, it's a poor interpretation of a bad law but not the end of the world. There are plenty of alternatives to M855 that shoot just as well and are just as cheap. This really won't effect the ability to go out and shoot your rifle for fun, in matches, or hunting, etc.

The point of this whole exercise is his attempt to get one type of ammo banned as a probitive move to see if he can successfully make it stand. You can bet if he gets away with this there will be more to follow. It's a back door attempt at gun control....you don't need gun control if you ban ammo.

Who cares M855's are only good for one thing putting key holes in tin cans.
The Army have has a new AP round.
I like shooting the 55gr Lake City ammo and so does my AR.

And this my friends is why we are in the mess that we are in now. Hunters in my state have the same attitude, "I don't use a AR 15 to hunt so I don't care if they are banned" so they got banned. Wait until they want to ban something they use and they will be the first one complaining.

Preach on bother, we have to ALL stand together.... ALL.
I don't shoot black powder but if they wanted to ban it I would stand with them in a heartbeat.

I don't either but they are not taking the option away from me or anyone else if I can help it.

that's why there are only 5 million of us in the NRA instead of 10's of millions. too many people figure if it's not their ox getting gored, they just don't care & can't be bothered.

it's always been that way & I expect it always will.
