Leupold VX-Freedom Parallax problem

I bought this scope, 3-9x40, with the thought of putting it on one of my rimfires (.22, .22Mag or .17HMR). I did not even think about the parallax because I was so excited about the reticle. Well, I found out quickly that the parallax is set at 150 yds. which is not going to work well for me. I am considering putting it on my CZ .22 Hornet but still think I will have a parallax issue.

I think I am going to send it back to Leupold and have the parallax changed to 60-70 yds. It is going on one of these rifles, I just need help from someone with more experience to help me decide what I should do about the parallax. Currently it is a bit blurry at close range. Thanks.

That’s a new one to me, thanks for sharing!
I put a Savage Nikon package scope on a 10/22. I might give that a try sometime, I won’t loose any sleep if it messes it up.
