Kimber 84m pro varmint vs remington 700 LV SF

The only Kimber varmint rifle I have had was the SVT. Right out of the box it was a shooter. Of course it helps when it is pillar bedded, free floated and has a great trigger out of the box. I have always heard great things about Remington varmint rifles, but most of the Remington hunting rifles I have owned needed tuning before realizing their potential.

I have an LVSF in 17 Rem. Its very accurate with a max load of varget and 25 grain bergers. Actually the only thing it shot poorly was factory ammo.

I thought about removing the pressure points in the stock, but its flimsy and would have required reinforcement. I decided not to mess around with it.

I played with seating depth and it consistantly shoots 1/2" at 100.

Mine likes about .04 jump to the lands.

Mine has probably the best looking rifling I have ever seen in a factory rifle.
