Insight on a versatile caliber

.223 using a bullet designed to mushroom instead of fragmenting. Foxes aren't very big animals so you want to punch a hole through them. Light frangible bullets will tear little things up and wound larger animals when you hit bone no matter what cartridge or caliber you go with.

I purchased and have been using a Bmag on coyotes this year. Within your parameters of yardage it will work fine. Mine is far more accurate shooting the 25gr bullets. It is very accurate. I also feel the 25gr puts them down more efficiently with a bigger variety of shot angles. Fun lite gun to use.
Were I to think of something with more power and still fox friendly I would look at the .222.

I agree with nightcaller! I have a nephew who is a taxidermist and he swears the 17 calibers are the best for not blowing he11 out of varmints if you don't want to sew up a holes.
