Thats some nice glass there. What reticle?

The "winner winner chicken dinner" is a southern thing.

One of our local radio personalities says it everyday when someone wins his trivia contest.

The scope has a Duplex reticle that is just about perfect for hunting not too thick but heavy enough for seeing against brush and for night use. If you are familiar with the Z-Plex in the Zeiss it is just slightly thicker than it in comparison.

Guess everyone missed the camparison to post above or the post a little while back about the clearridge line.

Been eyeballing the same scope and mag range. Being the reticle is a tad thicker than the Conquest z-plex, I'm almost sold.

Where is it made ?

They are made in Japan. Just from my eyes they seem to be similar to Bushnell Elite and Sightron Big Sky.I really need to get them out together so I can compare as i mentioned above.

One thing I know from past orders from The Optic Zone if you do not mount the scope in rings you have up to 30 days to inspect and return it for something else. I have not ever returned anything but nice to have that option if you get a reticle that looks totally different than you expected.

I put it on my .20 Tac DTech because my plan right now is to use that scope and gun in Montana coyote hunting this fall. I can only take one and it's a tough decision. My .20 Tac did not get used much last season so I need to show it some love.

Does the Clearidge have zero stops? How easy are the turrets to accidentally move (such as for hunting)? These have my interest, but sometimes when coyote hunting in Wisconsin, I would have to cross some thick brush to get where I need to and don't want to have to check everytime I get on stand.

I am pretty sure the Clearidge is not available with zero stops and I know mine does not have that feature. I am quite confident that you will not have any issues with the turrets moving but they do not lock down like my Weaver Tactical does. The best way I can describe the adjustment is they are firm and distinct clicks but you do not hear an audible click. The scope I own that seems to have the same type adjustment FEEL is my Nightforce 2.5-10x.

Venatic,

Thanks for the post. The XP5's do not have the zero stop option. We have been getting great feedback on our Clearidge Ultra XP5 scopes. We are scheduled to get in our new shipment of 4.5-22.5x50 Mil Dot scopes in 3-4 weeks. We have many customers that can not wait until they become available again.

Jon,

That's good to hear as my buddy Seth(Skinnerworldchamp) just got his 2.5-12.5X42mm yesterday and he said he now wants the 4.5-22.5X50 for his new 6mm AI.

Guys I'm totally on board with David on these scopes. They our super clear and very well built great tracking and good looking as well as good eye relief and great low light scopes as well. We our going to compare all 5 scopes David listed side by side this weekend to see how the Clearidge stacks up against the competition so stay tuned. I will also be doing a tracking test on my 2.5-12.5-42 Ultra XP5 just incase David's scope was a fluke but I'm pretty sure we will have similar results. For the price of these scopes I don't think you can get a better deal.

OZ,

It would be nice if you made some 2-7 and 3-9 for centerfire rifles.

Is the glass and reticle thickness the same in the RM and manafactured in Japan as well?
