It's a sad state of affairs when the government is out destroying old mining sights, home stead sights, or the like, in the name of public safety.
And as far as the looters go, it's just really no surprise these days, which is sad. But even here in Colo., there's a really cool place called "Hanging Lakes" that is very popular short day hike destination that was recently vandalized by some jack wad with paint. Painted all over bunch of rocks, trees, stumps. NOW, the state is talking about closing down the trail.
