Furor grows over Ariz. law against immigrants

HMMM major clue would be... walcum to madonnas, quero papas con tu bi mac? Then they give you hot sauce with your chicken bisquit. [beeep]! I say sue fast food.

I do understand the furor over the possibility of U.S. citizens having their civil rights violated. However, the border is wide open and a silent invasion has been going on for decades. It is hard to fault a state for creating laws to protect their legal citizens. It sounds reactionary, but I would have no problems with troops guarding the border.

What about all the people that sit along the border and give them water and food? Isn't that aiding and abetting criminals? Isn't that a felony offense? Why don't they uphold that law? How can these illegals cry about rights, there NOT American citizens so they have no rights under OUR constitution.

Section 274 felonies under the federal Immigration and Nationality Act, INA 274A(a)(1)(A):

A person (including a group of persons, business, organization, or local government) commits a federal felony when she or he:

* assists an alien s/he should reasonably know is illegally in the U.S. or who lacks employment authorization, by transporting, sheltering, or assisting him or her to obtain employment, or

* encourages that alien to remain in the U.S. by referring him or her to an employer or by acting as employer or agent for an employer in any way, or

* knowingly assists illegal aliens due to personal convictions.

Penalties upon conviction include criminal fines, imprisonment, and forfeiture of vehicles and real property used to commit the crime. Anyone employing or contracting with an illegal alien without verifying his or her work authorization status is guilty of a misdemeanor. Aliens and employers violating immigration laws are subject to arrest, detention, and seizure of their vehicles or property. In addition, individuals or entities who engage in racketeering enterprises that commit (or conspire to commit) immigration-related felonies are subject to private civil suits for treble damages and injunctive relief.

Previously deported gang member charged with stabbing in Maryland

According to prosecutors, on Friday night, Edwin Escobar-Salmeron, 29, intentionally crashed his Toyota Camry into his ex-girlfriend’s Honda Accord, after seeing her leave a bar in Wheaton, Md. with a group of others. He then jumped out of his car and stabbed the woman’s companion five times.

The victim was stabbed four times in the chest, and according to court documents, was found “completely unresponsive.” He is expected to survive his injuries.

On Monday, Escobar-Salmeron appeared in Montgomery County court for his arraignment.

Assistant State's Attorney Danielle Sartwell told the judge: “His ex-girlfriend was out at a bar with another person. He apparently didn't like that.”

Escobar-Salmeron is a member of the notoriously violent Salvadoran gang known as MS-13, and according to Sartwell, was deported in 2005 after two convictions of reckless endangerment.

Escobar-Salmeron, has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, stalking, reckless endangerment and malicious destruction of property.

Start busting up all the mexican gangs and you will get a whole bunch of illegals...

Arizona non-profit group is aiding and abetting illegal immigration...

Since 2001, a group known as Humane Borders has been building and maintaining water stations throughout the Arizona desert to aid those crossing into this country illegally.

Humane Borders places large plastic barrels filled with drinking water throughout the Arizona border area. All of these water stations come equipped with flagpoles which fly blue flags to make it easier for the invaders to find them. The group currently operates 100 water stations. Volunteers regularly patrol the desert to give away food and offer first aid to illegal immigrants.

In 2006, the group was upset because someone had been draining and sometimes damaging the water tanks. Apparently, the volunteers with Humane Borders were not paying attention to the news...American citizens have decided that the only way the border will be defended is to do it themselves!

Upset over the plight of invading Mexicans, Humane Borders volunteer Frank Saavedra said: "If they're planning on getting their water at that location and they get there and there's no water, then the next time they could get water could be not before they die."

Though Humane Borders seeks to make the illegal crossing into the United States as easy as possible, many locals are frustrated and fed up with the daily invasion.

Tucson area resident Russ Dove told a KVOA reporter: "The vandal issue is a sign that Americans have had enough. These [illegal aliens] are robbers, rapists, murderers. This is simply aiding and abetting criminal activity."

A quick review of the official website for Humane Borders gives some insight into the political motivations behind their kindness to invaders. Humane Borders lists their legislative objectives as: “(1) Legalize the undocumented now living and working in the U.S. (2) Begin a responsible guest worker program by issuing work visas directly to migrants so that they are not tied to any one employer or sector of the economy and allow workers to be organized. (3) Increase the number of visas for Mexican nationals. (4) Demilitarize border. (5) Support economic development in Mexico. (6) Federal aid for local medical service providers, law enforcement and adjudication, land owners and managers.”

In a section which Humane Borders lists their major donors for the group's annual operating budget ( $205,000 (2006); $189,780 (2007); $154,000 (2008) ), they list among others, the Pima County Board of Supervisors. Are public funds being used in this endeavor?

Latino broadcasters Radio Unica and Univison also contribute to the aid and comfort of the invaders.

More troubling is the claim that the group makes over having permits with the National Park Service, which allows them to aid illegal aliens in several Southwestern National Parks. Among the parks Humane Borders offers regularly operate is Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, which is the site of Park Ranger Kris Eggle's murder by Mexican drug smugglers.

To date, all of my interview requests to Humane Borders have been ignored. I wanted to ask them how they feel about the fact that drug smugglers and murderers are using their water stations to help them along their illegal journey into this country.

It is obvious that Humane Borders have no respect for our laws, nor for the American lives which are harmed on a daily basis by illegal aliens. They are simply another left wing group which sees no need for borders and believes that everyone has the right to enter this country through any means necessary. By making the trip easier, this group actively encourages more people to invade this country, many of whom are drug smugglers, sex offenders, and quite possibly terrorists.

The leadership of Humane Borders should be jailed for sedition. However, until we gain sensible leadership in Washington...I would encourage the good people in Arizona who still care about U.S. sovereignty to continue draining those tanks and replace the blue flags with American flags (but be sure to fly them up-side down).

Again, why are these people not arrested under the federal law?????????

amazing. enforcing the law is "irresponsible", according to prezbo.

AZ wrote a state law that to a great part copied word for word the applicable federal laws, yet this is "racist" & "wrong"

The same people on the left who have been trying for at least 20 years to figure out how to shove a national ID down our throats (and using illegal immigration as a reason for needing it, no less) & mandate that citizens have & carry one are having raging fits of apoplexy that a cop might actually ask someone to show some ID when they have a legitimate reason to be in contact with them.

I applaud Arizona’s lawmakers and governor not only for passing a law which attempts to provide some measures to control the situation but also for focusing the attention of the media on the problem. If the US Justice Department doesn’t like this solution then they need to get off the butts and enforce the law!

Oh and isn’t it interesting how quickly certain politicos label something as unconstitutional when it messes with one of their core constituencies yet find nothing wrong with violating your 2nd Amendment rights!

That pretty much sums it up!

Quote:"If every state had its own laws, we wouldn't be one country; we'd be 50 different countries," said Thomas Saenz, president and general counsel of the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund.

Fifty seperate independent countries (states) all cooperating as a union, what a concept, why we could call it a howdown, no that doesn't sound right, a gettogether, no that's not quite it either. Hmmm...I got it WE COULD CALL IT A REPUBLIC.

Marco Rubio is one of the politicians who is against the Az illegal immigrant law. A 'conservative'???? I'm disappointed, but old enough to know better.
Its all about garnering the votes.

Now we're a democracy degrading into despotism, as did Rome.
