funnest guns to shoot.......

I pulled out my MP44 yesterday at our Archery Banquet and let a few people who had never seen one before or even knew what it was burn some rounds out of it. By the smiles and talk I heard I am pretty sure they put it at the top of their list.

I would have to say the M2 .50 cal Machinegun followed very closely by the M3 Greasegun, both were a blast...as Evil Lurker said "As long as I didn't have to pay for the ammo".

I have had a full auto Uzi, it was fun but the fun gets pretty old quick, at least for me.
My funnest to shoot these days is my chopped 16" Marlin Guide Gun in 45-70 it is no fun off the bench, but standing or kneeling nothing is funner that I have ever shot.

Here is my friend, popping the 200yd Ram

I had an American 180 22 LR full auto machine gun back in the 80's. It ran off a drum magazine that held 175 rounds. It would empty that mag in 9 seconds. That would give you enough time to see where you hitting and move the mass of lead flying out there up on a coyote. It was amazing....but a divorce forced me to sell several full auto's i had.

The gun that I have the most fun shootin is a Marlin Guide Gun in 45-70 but the Springfield Armory Socom 16 is pretty fun too.
I love shootin .22's for some reason.I still like shootin the ol' 10/22 but I get a kick out of shootin up a box of .22 shells with my uncles Marlin lever action .22 (cant remember which model) or my step dads Remington Fieldmaster the most. And the one gun that I could shoot all day is the Browning Semi-Auto Takedown Rifle.

The pistols I have the most fun shootin are the S&W K-22 or Ruger Single-Six,pretty much cause they aint too hard on your hearing for the most part.As for the bigger calibers I like shootin any of them really.Springfield Armory 1911A1,Ruger Blackhawk in 45long colt and the Ruger SP101 .327 Federal Mag are my favorites probably.I just like shootin guns is pretty much all there is too it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

The ma-deuce on the govt. dime was fun. So was the MK-19. And I've never shot an AR I didn't have fun with. But I really enjoy my Remington 760 chambered in 35 Remington with peep sights. It's just a blast to shoot.

i would either say my father's Remington model 81 in 35 remington...it ejects the shells straight up. i let a guy shoot it one day and he was really hunched over the gun, and his loose fitting hat was over the ejection port. well he pulled the trigger and ka-boom, his hat leaves his head, he puts the gun down and starts looking it over for damage. i could only laugh, i had never seen that happen before.
my other favorite is my Benelli Cordoba, it just shoots really good.

Shot a SS long barrel 8ga goose gun when as a youth. That an old family friend owned. Shotgun set me back abit from the recoil /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

My favorite gun I owned & enjoyed shooting. Was my FN/FAL .308. After T-shooting I'd load her up with tracer rds & empty the last mag from my hip as fast as I could. Priceless.

Was at a range one day, here came an old friend of my Dad's to do some T-shooting. I told him, I'm about done. But I'm going to do abit more shooting. He watched me empty the last mag & just grinned.

.17 HMR for suprising accuracy of a tiny pill, rimfire, at long range. .50BMG singleshots, I cut down a tree with one. AR pistols, just because it makes you giggle a bit. And any really accurate high power bolt gun, obvious reasons there.

I saved up my money in an old coffee can, and when I had enough, I gave my dad the money and he ordered me a brand new Ruger 10-22, Sporter model. That was in 1983, I was 13 years old as I recall. He was so proud that I saved enough money, that he sprung for the base, rings, and Bushnell 3x-9x scope for it. Dad owned a very small gun shop at the time, before he went "big", and I remember thinking that the UPS guy musta forgot how to get to his shop after he ordered that rifle for me. I never have enjoyed shooting a gun any more than that one. Seemed like no matter what brand/weight of 22LR I sent throught her, it was dead on!!

My M1 Garand is a hoot to shoot, you all need one. The 1903a3 is pretty fun too. 1895 guide gun has some strange thrill to it (at least the day you are shooting it). The 10/22 is hard to beat as well as the mini 14. Any large cap 9mm with a case of ammo. I won an Escort 20 gauge youth semi shotgun that is pretty fun on skeet (kids aren't old enough yet). Mostly they are all fun.

Barrett 50 BMG single shot. A friend's who is liberal with the ammo. The way the shock wave compresses the sinus' is pretty wild. Tracers very cool.

My Mini30 is a blast in my opinion. Enough power to enjoy the fuss at the backstop and light enough recoil wise to just enjoy blasting away. Don
