Some days i tote a .223 or .243 instead of the 22-250.
The 12 guage always goes with me no matter which rifle i tote.

i would have to say for the abundance of ammo and accuracy far and wide the .223 would be my choice.

2nd on the .243. You can go heavy or light and they can't get out of range!LOL! Also like the .223 and the .22-250. Heck I love goin' "callin" so much I'd probably use a rock if that's all I had.
