hole in the bottom of the cup. I talked to CVA about it,
and apparently this breech plug was designed by the engineers
at Western Powder(makers of Blackhorn 209). I shot mine
this weekend, comparing the two, and the BH 209 breech
plug is definitely worth the money. I don't get the POI
drift on the first couple of shot, that the old breech plug
suffered from. With the BP209 plug, the clean bore shot was
about 2" higher than the fouled shots, and dead on right to
left. After the clean bore shot, I was shooting about 1.5"
groups at 100 yards, with 295 gr. Powerbelts. And some of that
was the shooter shooting a 7x scope with a fine ballistic
reticule into the sun. With the old breech plug the clean
bore shot started out 5" left of Point of Aim, shot #2 was
about 2" left, and then the subsequent shots were at the
point of aim. Fouling seems to be considerably less with
the new plug, as well.
