I have some measurement tools I bought from Iowegon on another site. They will measure the throat, and per bullet to the lands. Many rifles are deep throated so the shorter bullets won't work safely. This will determine the max col independent of a magazine. case length + bullet length - diameter of the bullet = max case length. The bullet must be seated a min of its diameter measurement.
