I am having a serious desire to call and bag a wolf in NW Ontario next year. From what I have read, 60% of a wolf's diet in late summer and fall consists of beavers. It makes sense cuz beaver are busy (pun intended) back in the woods at this time of year cutting wood, and most of the wolf sign I have seen has been criss-crossing beaver sloughs, obviously hunting. Just wanted to find out from the Alaskan experts if they have observed the same thing and have tried a beaver distress call? I am assuming beavers make some horrible death-thro noises just like everything else.
