Bad Winchester 22-250 Brass

Split necks on new brass sounds like the factory didn't anneal the cases? Maybe this isn't standard operating practices. Does anyone know if manufactures do annealing on the new cases?

Well good for Winchester. Called today, they are mailing a shipping label, they said we will refund your purchase, keep the cases that are food and send us the bad ones. Definitely not what was expected.

case necks out of square is common, out of round is a given, variable length expected.

i also have a 1x fired lapua 22-250 with a split neck.

About 2011-2012, cant really remember, bought some Winchester 243 and 257 Roberts brass, each bag had 10 or so that wouldnt fit in shell holders, extractor grooves werent cut deep enough. The 257 bag also had 2 308 cases in it as well. Called about it, was basically told, Oh well.

No more Winchester brass for this guy.
