Anyone hunting with 14.5" 5.56?

I have a spare 14.5" barrel laying around, thinking about trying it out. This would be for night time thermal suppressed at about 300 yards max.

I've been using AAC 55gr black tips this winter, supposedly going 3175fps out of a 20" and 3040-3080fps out of a 16" per youtube vids.

Its done well out of an 18" (7 coyotes down) this winter, so im thinking a 14.5" at 3000fps or just under will do basically just as well.

Are the black tips Nosler Varmageddons?

I have a 55 grain hand load that goes around 2915fps out of a 14.5"

I also had an 18" rifle a long time ago that was really accurate with 55's around that 2900fps range. I killed a lot of Coyotes with it, and trajectory was fine really.

I use a 14.5" on a regular basis. You should not have any issues with shooting 300 yards.

These two were taken around 233 yards.

Just a legality ?. Is it a-

1 SBR with a $200 stamp

2. Always been a AR Pistol with no stock

If you're asking about the one in the 2 photos, it's a Remington 700. I bought the left handed action only new.

Some people say the AAC is like a vmax but not exactly the same. I believe the AAC blacktips are all flat base and not boat tail

I've been doing various shooting with 14.5, 16, 18" when all sighted in at 100 yards. Bullet drop seems similar at 330 yards (my max range where i target practice.) If anything the ammo matters more. I found that old PMC 62 grain green tip 5.56 had less drop than Fiocchi 40 gr vmax 223 out of a 16" barrel. That was surprising.
