Alaska Predator Hunt!

Very nice. I moved to Alaska in 1974 and lived in Juneau for 15 years. Prior to moving there I lived in SoCal and hunted predators hard for about 11 years. Juneau doesn't have much of a road system but we did have an airplane and a boat and for about a month each summer and early Fall I camped in the Yukon and fished.

I got to see Lynx, brown and black bears and lots of wolves. I even killed a pair of wolves near Yakutat but they weren't called. They were drawn to us by the smell of bacon cooking on an oil stove.

Looking back I often wonder why I never called for predators there. In those 15 years I saw one coyote near Gustavus near Glacier Bay and that was from the airplane. Most of the Sitka Blacktail deer I killed there were called. I now wish I had another shot at it.

That is a gorgeous cat. Congrats!
