I bet you can easily cut those 7/8 groups in half with some good handloads in that Tikka, I have played with several and they flat shoot well.

Are you asking if the .243 Win is capable of long ranges? If so, [beeep] yeah it is. [beeep] good round for long range shooting.
Are you asking if the 6.5 Creed is better? I'd so say probably, I wouldn't go with a .308 though. .30 Cal is a lot heavier and is capable of longer shots but you'd be better of with the .243 or 6.5 imo.
I'd say try long range with the .243, if you like it but want better performance. Upgrade.
