53 Grain Superformance

Has anyone had any issues with the 53 grain Vmax jackets separating in a 1-7 twist AR?

According to my math the RPMs are getting up there…3465FPS*720/7 twist = 356,400

However, my AR is only a 16” so velocity will be lower. Just don’t want to shoot them through my can if they may seperate.

I was always under the impression ?, (rule of thumb), that to be on safe side. Always keep the thinner jacket varmint bullets below 300-K RPM .
If Me . I would slow it down, or change barrels from a 7, to 8 or a 9 . AR barrels a lot cheaper than price to re-core your can .

Killed hundreds and hundreds with the 53Vmax from a 1/7 18" WOA @3110.

I have 4 other buddies running my load in the exact same spec barrel that shoots and kills outstanding.

Shoot a Nosler ballistic tip or Sierra blitz king then. They withstand 350-375K RPMs.

Kinda get what you get with Hornady bullets. They're too soft for much anything over 300K. Eventually you will have problems when your throat gets a bit rough or the barrel gets hot.
