Getting down to the wire here in NY so I had to try to get one or two with the new 243 Tikka T3x. Got my chance tonight. Pretty quick stand. Setup on a field and noticed that a bunch of deer were acting a little hawky and tense all of a sudden. Staring off towards a corner I couldn’t see. Then I heard a yip. Then another yip. I threw out some Mrs McCottontail and nothing. Wind was really gusting so I went with CF Cottontail and cranked it. That did it. 3 came screaming in and I stopped them at about 70 yards and dumped this one. The other 2 disappeared behind a rise in the field and I never saw them again. Young male. Id guess last year’s pup. Tikka works!
