.243 or .308?

To paraphrase a briliant ballistician whose name eludes me at the moment, I have this to offer for class discussion:
"A .243 MAY expand...
but a .308 will NOT shrink"

'Nuff said. If you are into fishing, it is exceeingly easy to build up an inventory of a quiverful of rods/reels that the "experts" whom you've never seen swore you must have. Then, in the moment of truth all the experts are nowhere to be seeen, and you might find yourself wishing for a stronger medicine.

As for me and my household, .308 it is, and make it a semi-auto!

I had the same question a few weeks ago. I couldn't decide between .243 and .308. But I knew I wanted a CZ. The varmint 550 wasn't available in .243, so that made my choice easy. I got the .308 and like it so far. I shot my first cloverleaf group with it, and can't wait to shoot it at 300 yards.
