I just got back from my first javelina hunt of the year. A group of us gets together twice a year for different hunts. We went down to a 12,000, low-fenced ranch in Webb County. Twelve of us took 17 hogs, 10 javelina, and 4 coyotes. I got my first javelina with my Contender with an 81 yard shot.

I am the one on the left..in the back row. My javelina is the seconed one from the left(in the front row). The rest are some of the smaller hogs we took. Some were big tuskers. The guy on the right is an internist from Nacogdoches. Would you want this guy giving YOU your annual prostate exam??

Cool Bob! I'll be hitting the pigs down by San Antonio in a month. Really looking forward to it. I was hoping to try out my Encore, but the only barrel I have so far is a .223. Guess I'll have to be content shooting them with my 6.5X55.
