Sunday morning I got to sleep late (about 7:30) although I didn't get to bed until about 2am.

After trying to throw my gear together, I headed down to meet some of the moderators before the banquet to cover some business, and then went back to finish hualing the gear down to the truck for check out.

I then went back to the banquet hall where people were staring to gather, and mods and speakers were trying to get things organized.

Jason El Paso sells raffle ticket, while nmleon and Redfrog look on.

RagnCajn manned the shirt and hat table while visiting with Rod Haydel.

Judd Cooney talks with Tal Lockridge (maker of Tally-Ho) and Maj. Larue (as I understand it, his brother owns Larue Tactical and donated several Larue AR mounts for the raffle).

Byron South had a table set up and was showing some video footage on his lab top, and letting the guys listen to some redneck music. SWNMHUNTER and Judd Cooney's grandson's listen in.

Onefoot, Philbilly, and birddog3 also had a chance to visit before the banquet got under way.

MJM started the banquet off by introducing some of the industry people and administrators and moderators. From there he went right to some call auctions and raffle give aways.

There were some beautiful calls auctioned, and the bidding was high for several of the calls that the guys had their eyes on. The reservation also donated a turkey, bear, and lion hunt hunt. Best I remember, Genesis (sorry I got that wrong the first time) bought the bear and turkey hunts for $500 and $150 and RanUtah bought the lion hunt for $50.

After that, nmleon presented the Eggshoot winners.

yotenighthunter got a trophy for 3rd, MJM got the tricked out D-tech for 1st and Jim got the FX5 for second.

Then more raffle ticket were pulled, and Mike Dillion of Foxpro calls gave a presentation to talk about upcoming products and answer questions from the members.

Mike Dillion of Foxpro

After Mike's presentation, it was time to eat, and while we ate RanUtah brought everyone up to date on PM, where were have been and where we are headed.

During dinner, I got to visit with nmleon and Venatic. I didn't get to hunt with either of these guys, and they are at the top of my list of guys I want to hunt with along with bearmanric. I found out Venatic only lives about 3 hours away from me in Waco, and we made some plans to get together some time for a hunt.

David, I'm sorry I didn't get to visit with you earlier. I saw you in Redfrog's room a couple of times, but you were visting with some of the other guy's and I didn't get a chance earlier. Hopefully, we can get together sometime.

After the meal, Dtech (Mike Milli) started his presentation on how to build an AR from start to finish.

Olympic Arms donated all of the parts for this rifle, and it will be auctioned off on-line here at PM soon.

From left to right: Tal Lockridge, APJones, BroncoGlenn, Dakotah, Dan [beeep], Frozen Willie, Mike Milli and one of Judd's grandsons (sorry I didn't catch the name).

This is where things started to get kind of hectic as the the rez started pressing up for time. Mike whipped out the AR as Redfrog was drawing for the raffle winners.

[beeep] won the FX5, and bearmanric won the other foxpro unit (I forgot what model it was).

It was bearmanric's lucky day, as he was mopping up on the prizes. I think he won 2 of the Predator Extreme subscriptions and gave me one since he already had a subscription. He also had several DVDs and I don't know what all.

To top it off, he also won the Remington Model 700 .243 donated by Predator Masters.

Bearmanric and Redfrog with the rifle Rick won.

There were a lot of other prizes one, but I didn't catch all of them because I was watching Dtech build the rifle and taking pictures.

Some time toward the end RanUtah presented Mike Milli with an appreciation award which was a coyote howling at the moon. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of that.

And last, but certainly not least, RanUtah present Lance Adams (Crapshoot) with the Will Craig Award given each year to outstanding PM member (see the "Will Craig Award" thread by RanUtah)

Crapshoot aka Lance Adams.

After the banquet was over, guys said there good-byes and started to gather up there prizes and other gear. I didn't win a thing, but I did get a Foxpro t-shirt that Mike Dillion was handing out, so I didn't leave empty handed. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

At this time, I headed off to Redfrog's room to say good-bye to a few the ones were gathered there, and then RagnCajn and I headed back east.

This was my first PM Hunt, and I can't say enough good things about the members, moderators, administators and advertisers. This is truely a great bunch of people and I am glad to be assocaited with them.

Randy and I hit the road for home and stopped about 2 hours down the road at the Sonic for a to go order and after that it was non-stop east listening to the Super Bowl on the radio only stopping for gas. As before we would switch drivers so the other could catch a little sleep. We hit El Paso about midnight, and Dallas about 10:00 where we stopped for breakfast at a truck stop to get get gas. Then it was on to Shreveport and Randy's house so I could get my truck and head on home. I pulled into the driveway at home about 3:30 pm

Randy- again, I can't thank you enough for letting me ride along. I will do it again anytime.

If you missed Globe, you need to try and go sometime. For the guys that I missed or didn't get to spend much time with, I apologise. Maybe next time, we'll do better. If any of you are ever in my neck of the woods, look me up......

That's my story, and I'm, stickin' to it! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Sorry about that genesis. Did I put the wrong name to a face, or did I not get a chance to meet you? Are you in any of the above pictures?

You know, I should have made you pay a little more for that bear tag. I've been kicking myself ever since then. Good luck with it Larry. It was a pleasure meeting you.

Sean, you and the rest of the staff did a hell of a job pulling that thing off. These recaps you've posted are great. I had a wonderful time at the hunt and hope that all of the members get a chance to attend one. Trust me, you'll be glad if you do.

Jiminaz...You almost got that bear tag, I really didn't want to pay much more than $500 for it.
With any luck I can get it on video running in to my new FX5!
By the way it was great to meet and visit with you this weekend.
Yellowhammer,
No problem with the name. Actually I am in some other pictures. Black hat and dark blue shirt.
My partner Dave Dagenhart (tall dude in black hat) were often described as being from NM. He lives in Black Canyon,AZ and I live in Waddell,AZ.
We both had a great time on our first PM hunt and will most definitely return.
I wish I would have taken some pictures but never got around to it, many thanks to you guys that did!

Sean, since I wasn't able to make the hunt. I really appreciate the great job you and Lance and the rest of the fellars did on recapping the hunt.Great pictures and I think you guys did a good job in showing why everyone should try to make it to this hunt. The San Carlos tribe really does make it affordable to go and have a chance at a lion.Sean hope you make it there next year and I will see you there.take care, daveyboy.

P.s.I talked to bearmanric and he is still trying to get him a lion.He has been hunting up by white crossing by the black river.I told him to go above warm springs and give it a try.later.

Genesis, for some reason I put the wrong name to your face. I know who you are now. You were at the eggshoot as well.

Now I have to figure out who SWNMHUNTER is

Genesis, you should have came by Redfrog's room and hung out. There was a lot of visiting that went on there.
