Because we were pressed for time, I didn't get the chance to do my speech for the Will Craig Award so I will post it here. The presentation loses some meaning without being vocal but hopfully you will pick up on that. Afterwards, if any of you that have pics, please post them.

"For the last several years, I've had the privilege and honor of handing out this award."

"As in each of those years when I have sat down and written about those individual's, I have been able to present to you the persons accomplishments successfully without disclosing the person identity. This year though is a different story. Once I start describing this person's accomplishments, most will know who this is."

"This years recipient will be the first to tell you that he doesn't deserve it. He's not one to seek the lime light and would just soon avoid it altogether. However for the moderators that have chosen this person would be the first to tell you that he is the most deserving."

"This really all starts right after last years hunt. With the Shot Show next on the agenda, several of us were getting ready to make the trip to Las Vegas. Being from the area, he was ready to assist anyone that needed help and did. Not only was he our guide in getting around but provided essential taxi service. At the show, he made a point in visiting each of our advertisors not only to answer any questions that they may have but to also thank them for their support. Having witnessed this myself, he's the consument professional. Modest as he is, he will tell you that he is not a salesman, yet he can sell."

"After the show and once everyone settled back to their respective homes, the two year clock had run out and it was time for PM to have it's elections. Having run for the PM member services position and won, he hasn't skipped a beat. Member services is its own world and a world of e-mail comes along with it. The questions run the gamete from, "I lost my password" to "I'm in Nevada, were can I go hunt coyotes? And of course his reply is, "Go to Utah, we have no coyotes here!" But to his credit, he had treated each member the way we all want to be treated, with dignity and respect."

"When Byron asked for help when his schedule became extremely busy, again, our award winner stepped up. Now handling member services and advertising, the heat was on. Yet he took it on as he does everything else, with 100% dedication. He still is doing this today along with Sean Willis who you all know as Yellowhammer."

"This past year he became quite the world traveler. (Really meaning he left Nevada) Whether it was hunting with Randy Reeves in Shreveport, attending Jeff Holly's hunt in Oklahoma or this last recent Shot Show in Orlando, Florida, he was making the rounds. If we ever create the position of Ambassador, he would be the man for the job because it would fit him like a glove."

"His good will doesn't end there though. Last fall I had the honor along with two deserving boys to attend the Utah Trappers Assocation Youth Hunt with him. He was paired with an 8 year old that not only separation anxiety but ADD but that didn't stop him from showing this kid the time of his life. He was on top of his game. Packing two rifles, a foxPro and whatever helped maked the stand he was successful in calling in four coyotes on one stand, two of which we bagged. Once we arrived at the banquet, they were short on volunteers to hand out the youth prizes. You didn't have to ask him twice as he shot behind the tables to help out. He is also responsible for securing several donations for this hunt as well. We ended up taking 5th place in that hunt. It was a perfect end to a perfect day and for that I personally want to thank him for helping make that possible."

"While attending Bass Pro's Fall Hunting Classic, again he was there helping out were he could. With the likes of Mike Dillon, Jay Nistetter, Byron South and myself, hauling us from place to place and never asking for anything in return."

"Having known him since PM's earlist days, he has volunteered when ever the opportunity has presented itself. His character is like no other and he has been a strong asset to PM. Don't let him fool you as he does wear his heart on his sleeve. We have all seen him respond first with those who have questions. His passion is true, especially with those members just entering into the sport. I am proud to call him friend in which I'm sure that most of you do. This year, I'm especialy pleased to announce that this years Will Craig Award winner is none other than.... Lance Adams

Dang that's an ugly fella. He needs to seek some surgical help. Who is this Lance Adams fella anyway?

Im glad you didn't get time to read that at the banquet as it would have made me shed a tear like I am doing right now.

All I can say is Thank You!

Congratulations go out to Lance for his continued hard work and dedication. Thank goodness shooting skeels weren't part of the deal.

No one deserves it more buddy. Congratulations. And don't mind that shooting skeels crack either, at least you've got calling skeels. LOL (Sorry Jay, I just had to).

Congratulations Lance, I'm pleased and proud to call you friend.
