This was my first PM Hunt, and let me tell you it was great. I got to meet a lot of people that I had only talked to over the internet, or on the phone, and it always amazes me how different people are from what you expect or had pictured in you mind.

On Tuesday afternoon, I made the 2 hour drive from my house to RagnCajn's house in Shreveport, LA. About 5 minutes after I got there Randy pulled in from work. After he took a quick shower and we loaded our gear, we headed out. Before we left town we stopped by BulletBob's so Randy could pick up his 300 yard eggshoot rifle, and then we hit Randy's favorite resturant (the Waffle House) for supper before we hit the road.

By the time we got out of Shreveport, it was about 6:30 pm. We drove non-stop except to stop and get gas, and swapped drivers so each of us could get some sleep. We hit El Paso about 8:00 am Wednesday morning, and took a scenic route from there as Randy wanted to go by and see Danny Batastini Predator Hunting collection in Corrizozo, NM.

Danny wasn't there when we got there, but we talked his wife into showing us his collection. He has a pretty good collection of Predator Hunting memorabilia including callers, calls, and pictures.

After that we head over the mountains for Globe. This is what it looked like on the way through the mountains.

RagnCajn was a little out of his element.

For those of you that don't know Randy, he is a heck of a guy, and never a dull moment. I don't think he has ever meet a stranger. Randy, I can't tell you how much I appreaciated you letting me ride along. You were not nearly as bad as Lance led me to believe.

All kidding aside, I would ride and room with you again any time. I think we made pretty good traveling partners.

We rolled into Globe about 8 pm Wednesday night, and went straight to Irene's Mexican Resturant where a bunch of the pm crowd had gathered for supper.

After that we headed to the Casino to check in and then went to Redfrog's room to visit.

I'm not sure if this was actually Wednesday night, but these are some of the guys who were hanging out in Redfrog's room. If I miss and names, I apoligize.

From left to right: Dakotah, BroncoGlenn, FrozenWilly, and Bearmanric.

Again, from left to right: Frozen Willie, bearmanric, Crapshoot, and Nikonut.

Crapshoot, Old Turtle, Redfrog, and bearmanric

About midnight or so we hit the hay so we would be ready to get up early, get our licenses and maybe get a few stands in before the eggshoot started Thursay at 11 am.

Vol. II will be the events of the Thursday including the eggshoot.

It was my great pleasure to make the trip with ya. We traveled almost 3000 miles on that trip.I have never seen that much snow in my life. I was definately out of my element. Lets do it again sometime. Oh I know, we can go back to Globe next year.
