Homemade wind indicator powder?

use electrical tape and tape some nylon thread to the end of your barrel, one less thing to carry.

If you think this works try this experiment. When your “wind in the face” method tells you it is dead clam, try using the powder from the bottle or the flame from the lighter and see just how much wind you have. It has always been surprising to me how much the wind is blowing when my face tells me it is dead clam. Maybe it’s just my old skin but I cannot detect the very light winds, but a coyote or whitetail can.
I can tell which way the wind is blowing by how it is hitting my face. Might look at the trees or grass. This may be a smart a$$ answer but have never needed a powder to see which way the wind is blowing.??
