my 12 year old and I did manage to see a beautiful red fox on the way home. I just wish it was on land where we had permission to hunt.
We started out in an area that we deer hunt and there are 2 dens within 50 yards from our stand. I was armed with the T/C G2 Contender .223, my son with his Rossi .410 with 000 buckshot(only 3 pellets per round but good for the close shots).
I was hoping the snow would have been a little quieter, but there was still a solid crust on top even though it was 35 today. I have a feeling we scared everything out of the ravine before we even started.
Oh well....Going to head out for another attempt tonight.
