I vote for the 243 as the perfect coyote cartridge. They anchor the animals with authority (bang flop) and recoil is certainly manageable for even the most recoil sensitive among us. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif
Anything less is going to get you some runners and spinners and if that's acceptable to you then have at it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif
Anything more is going to give you more recoil than necessary but then again just how objectionable is the recoil from a 270, 308, 30-06, etc. fellas??? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif
I am continually amazed at people that insist on using cartridges that are marginal for the game they shoot. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
Is your deer rifle a good coyote rifle??? ABSOLUTELY!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif
First rule of hunting... Use enough gun!
